Tiger Woods Woes
There is much speculation that Tiger Wood’s wife, Elin Nordegren, bruised and scratch Woods face when she confronted him about rumors that he had an affair. Woods then tried to escape in his car and Nordegren came after him with a golf club and hit the car window, causing him to be distracted and crash in a fire hydrant.
Woods refused to face officials to make an official report on the accident. Wood’s attorney talked to officials and gave them his proof of insurance, drivers license and registration.
The next day Tiger Woods made a statement “debunking” all the rumors. Here is the statement:
“As you all know, I had a single-car accident earlier this week, and sustained some injuries. I have some cuts, bruising and right now I’m pretty sore.
This situation is my fault, and it’s obviously embarrassing to my family and me. I’m human and I’m not perfect. I will certainly make sure this doesn’t happen again.
This is a private matter and I want to keep it that way. Although I understand there is curiosity, the many false, unfounded and malicious rumors that are currently circulating about my family and me are irresponsible.
The only person responsible for the accident is me. My wife, Elin, acted courageously when she saw I was hurt and in trouble. She was the first person to help me. Any other assertion is absolutely false.
This incident has been stressful and very difficult for Elin, our family and me. I appreciate all the concern and well wishes that we have received. But, I would also ask for some understanding that my family and I deserve some privacy no matter how intrusive some people can be.”
Hmm….you decide. Something is quite shady.
Tyler Perry Puts His Money Where His Mouth Is
Tyler Perry, famous African American play writer, has pledged $1 million to the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People, the country’s oldest and largest civil rights organization.
Tyler Perry produces plays that dictate the complications and life of the modern African American community. Perry is currently a supporter and role model for young African Americans and constantly gives back to the African American community.
In a recent interview about Perry’s generosity towards the NCAACP, he says, “I feel so honored and blessed to be in a position where I can give. Had it not been for the perseverance and vision of the thousands who came before me in the 100 years of this legendary organization, I would not be in the position I am in today.”
Tyler Perry certainly puts his money where his mouth is and not only talks about the advancements of Africans Americans, but also donates to help their advancement.
Hopefully, more celebrities will follow in his footsteps.

Gov. Schwarzenegger’s Wife Breaks The Law
Yesterday, TMZ reported that Maria Shriver was seen driving while talking on her cellphone without a handsfree device, which is illegal in California as while as Connecticut, the District of Columbia, New Jersey and New York. For more information click here.
TMZ also had a picture that shows she was doing the same thing a couple of months ago. TMZ’s writer, Attorney Harvey Levin confronted Governor Schwarzenegger about his hardheaded wife and Governor Schwarzenegger said, “Thanks for bringing her violations to my attention. There’s going to be swift action.” A couple days later Maria Shriver was seen going to a restaurant, but she wasn’t driving–she had a driver.
Way to go Gov. Schwarzenegger. You told her didn’t you? I hope the government isn’t paying for her driver.
What Decade Are We In?
I was browsing the news today and I found that their is an interracial couple from Hammond, Louisiana who went to the courthouse to get married and the judge refused to issue them a marriage license. This is outrageous!!! When asked why the judge refused to issue them a marriage license, the judge said, “I’m not a racist. I just don’t believe in mixing the races that way.” The judge went on to say that he has friends of all different races and that he thinks that mixing races is hard on the children and it is something that he will never do. The interracial couple is consulting the the U.S. Justice Department about filing a discrimination complaint. Is this discrimination in your opinion? Is it right for a judge to refuse to issue an interracial couple a marriage license?
In 1967 there was a case Loving V. Virginia, where Mildred Loving, a black woman and Richard Perry Loving, a white man, where married in Washington D.C. and moved to Virginia and were not viewed as legally married and were accused of breaking the law due to miscegenation, which was a felony at that time.
In that case the U.S. Supreme court ruled that, “Marriage is one of the “basic civil rights of man,” fundamental to our very existence and survival…. To deny this fundamental freedom on so unsupportable a basis as the racial classifications embodied in these statutes, classifications so directly subversive of the principle of equality at the heart of the Fourteenth Amendment, is surely to deprive all the State’s citizens of liberty without due process of law. The Fourteenth Amendment requires that the freedom of choice to marry not be restricted by invidious racial discrimination. Under our Constitution, the freedom to marry, or not marry, a person of another race resides with the individual and cannot be infringed by the State.”
I agree with this statement and believe that marriage is a “basic civil right to man” and that EVERY human has the right to marry whomever they choose.
I believe Loving V. Virginia was a very great movement and for a Louisiana judge to not respect the law and marry an interracial couple it is obviously unconstitutional. It has been decades since this law was passed and still we have this problem.
When will people wake up and stop watching Glen Bleck and listening to Rush Limbaugh as if he is gospel.
Patrick Swayze Dies From Long Battle With Cancer
I recently found out that Patrick Swayze died from his 20 month struggle with cancer. This saddened me. I remember watching Dirty Dancing when I was little and thinking he was the suavest character ever. Every young girl admires the bad boy image and thus there was Swayze. 
What is really interesting is that Swayze turns out not to be the bad boy everyone thought. At the end he was the guy who covered up a mess, so that a pre-med student could get his letter of recommendation from daddy dearest.
I just loved his bad boy, not so really bad boy image. There was no character that was quite like Swayze. He could sing, dance and whoa the women.
Even now, when I mentioned that he died on facebook. My girlfriends reply with sadness that their heartthrob has passed away.
Swayze and all his hotness with truly be missed.

The Presidents Motivates Students And Others
Today, President Obama played an admiral role of mentor to school students K-12. Obama appeared at a press conference in Arlington, Virginia to inspire and “hand the torch” to children, the future of America.
The president first told of his own struggles to achieve with odds against him. He told about his mother and how she would wake him up at 4:30 in the morning, the only time she had free, to tutor Obama and to insure he got a proper education in Indonesia.
The president also talks about how he is trying to make a budget to provide schools with up to date books and to get the teachers to teach what needs to be taught, however, he says that it is the students responsibility to make sure they are taking responsibility and receiving the tools that are being given to him.
Obama inspires students to get involved and to action in school. Obama tells the you students, in his speech, that they are responsible for the future of America and that it is their duty to do the best they can do to contribute.
Obama hands down does not give any student the right to use excuses on why they can’t succeed, he says that all needs to responsible and that starts with school homework.
The president also debunks the dreams of students who say they are going to be the next rapper, reality star or celebrity. He gives it to the students straight, tell them the likelihood is limited and that they need to set their goals higher.
President Obama challenges us all to make a commitment to do better and to set a goal and achieve that goal. I found that his speech was inspiring, not only to the school children, but to everyone. What will you do for your country?

More Drama For ATL Real Housewife
As if there was not enough drama on Bravo’s The Real Housewives of Atlanta, a young man, George Page who was on a five-minute speed dating gathering on the show, is suing Bravo for using the film with him in it without his permission.
Page says that their was a clip that was aired on “Real Housewives”, where he is speed dating with housewife star, Sheree Whitfield. In the clip, Page feels that he is betrayed as being a “corny” guy that Whitefield is not interested in. Page feels like the music and the scene betrayed him in a light that is humiliating and caused him “emotional distress.”
George Page is suing Bravo for $50,000 for not asking him if they could use that clip for the show. Page claims that Bravo informed him that they were going to film the speed dating process and would edit him out of the show. Page is upset that he was mislead and filed charges today in Chicago, IL.
